Job summary

LA International is seeking an Azure Cloud Infra Engineer in Derby for a 5-month contract, with extensions possible. The role involves migrating and building Azure environments, maintaining security, and working with DevOps and data teams.

The position is on-site up to 3 days per week in Derby, with a day rate of £400–£500 via Umbrella. This opportunity requires strong Azure experience, DevOps IaC skills, and familiarity with data-intensive solutions.

Qualifications

10+ years total experience with 5+ years in Azure Cloud (IaaS, PaaS, SaaS) in data-intensive solutions.
Design, migrate and optimise data-intensive applications to Azure cloud.
Experience with DevOps and IaC tools to automate deployment (Terraform, ARM, PowerShell).
Kubernetes and container technologies are desirable.

Responsibilities

Work in complex development and migration projects to Azure cloud alongside business analysts, developers, architects and data stakeholders.
Design highly scalable Azure solutions and deliver end-to-end implementation with Azure architects.
Set up Azure environments for applications, data teams and DevOps with security features.
Coordinate with Architects, App Developers, Data Engineers to resolve infra issues.
Maintain documentation, track tasks and escalate blockers early.
