Job summary

Public Health Wales is recruiting a Cloud Engineer to join the Digital Services Cloud team in Cardiff. The role focuses on maintaining, optimising and securing our Azure cloud environments to support essential healthcare services, with emphasis on reliability, scalability and NHS Wales security standards.

The successful candidate will work with cross-functional teams, report to the 365 Engineering Lead and contribute to our cloud strategy.

Responsibilities

• Manage and support Azure resources and environments, ensuring optimal performance and availability.
• Provide specialist IT knowledge to maintain, enhance, and secure the Trust's cloud infrastructure for clinical and non-clinical systems.
• Act as a subject matter expert, leading implementation, knowledge transfer, and documentation to support team capability.
