Job description

Responsibilities

• Support the employer with light housekeeping.
• Set up and pack up after children's activities, such as painting and home‑baking.
• Assist the employer with basic dressing, e.g., putting on or taking off a coat.
• Provide a supportive presence for the employer's three autistic children, who are home‑educated (ages 9½, 11, and 12).

Qualifications

• Must be friendly, chatty, flexible, and capable of both taking instruction and acting on initiative.
• Must enjoy working with children and be comfortable being part of their wider family group.
• Applicant must be willing to undergo a DBS check for both children and adults.

The position is to be based in the HU7 area of Hull and involves working up to 12 hours per week, excluding early‑morning shifts. Employment will be subject to a satisfactory Disclosure and Barring Service checking report, the cost of which will be met by the local authority.
