Job summary

A leading cloud solutions provider is seeking an experienced AWS Platform Engineer to design and maintain secure, scalable container platforms. This remote role requires expertise in Kubernetes and AWS EKS, with occasional site visits to locations in the UK. Ideal candidates will have proven experience in managing Kubernetes clusters and implementing IaC practices. The role offers a competitive daily rate of £500 to £528, aligned with IR35 regulations, depending on experience.

AWS Platform Engineer

Remote, with travel to site once every 2 months in either London, Manchester or Sheffield

Active SC Clearance (or recently lapsed)

£500 - £528pd (Inside IR35 - depending on experience)

We are seeking an experienced Platform Engineer with expertise in Kubernetes and Amazon Elastic Kubernetes Service (EKS) to design, build, and maintain scalable, secure, and resilient container platforms. This role will enable our engineering teams to deliver applications efficiently and reliably. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, architect solutions, and optimise cloud technologies while driving innovation and value for our customers.

Required Experience:

• Proven experience in platform engineering, particularly with Kubernetes and EKS.
• Demonstrated ability to manage Kubernetes clusters in a public cloud environment.
• Familiarity with continuous integration and deployment practises.
• Experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation tools.
• Strong background in security practises related to Kubernetes and cloud environments.
