Job summary

Pacific Life Re is seeking a senior actuarial leader to head the Savings & Retirement and Consolidation sub-teams within Global Valuation in London. You will deliver quarterly valuation outputs, support new business opportunities, and drive process improvements across reporting bases (EC, BMA, US GAAP, IFRS4, IFRS17).

You will collaborate with New Business, Actuarial Analytics & Insights, Finance and Operations to ensure accurate, timely results.

Qualifications

Qualified actuary with a minimum of 5 years' post-qualified experience in life insurance or life reinsurance.
Experience of pension risk transfer, annuity or other Savings & Retirement business.
Strong understanding of asset and liability interactions within actuarial modelling frameworks.
Experience providing actuarial support for new business transactions, including assessment, implementation and ongoing reporting considerations.

Responsibilities

Lead the S&R and Consolidation sub-teams within Global Valuation.
Deliver quarterly and ad hoc actuarial outputs on time within control framework.
Provide valuation input for new business opportunities and deal structures.
Oversee production/validation of results across EC, BMA, US GAAP, IFRS4, IFRS17 bases.
Manage model runs for stress testing, scenario analysis and ad-hoc requests.
Oversee asset modelling transitions within Global Valuation.
Develop relationships with Corporate Actuarial, Pricing, Finance and Ops teams.
