Position Summary

As an Avionics Operator, you'll work side by side with the Royal Air Force (RAF), playing a crucial part in the maintenance, repair, and upgrade of the UK's state‑of‑the‑art Typhoon fighter jet fleet. Responsibilities
  • Conduct maintenance, from stripping to installation, and inspections on aircraft avionic assemblies, components, and installations during scheduled servicing, repairs and upgrades, ensuring all tasks comply with design specifications and applicable technical documentation.
  • Act as a first signatory, enabling you to perform the duties of a qualified Operator.
  • Follow approved maintenance instructions and schedules to carry out both planned and unplanned tasks.
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings, complete necessary paperwork and prepare work for inspection.
  • Ensuring compliance with quality procedures, processes, specifications and Approved Maintenance Organisation standards (MAOS MIL Pt145).
  • Show knowledge of Depth Maintenance documentation.
Qualifications & Experience
  • Completion of a relevant industry or military‑equivalent apprenticeship/qualification (e.g., City & Guilds 2675 or 2661 in Aeronautical Engineering and Maintenance) or equivalent, with recent experience in Fast Jet aircraft maintenance within a technical aviation environment.
  • Proven knowledge and understanding of quality procedures, processes, specifications, and Approved Maintenance Organisation standards (MAOS MIL Pt145).
  • Knowledge of Depth Maintenance documentation.
Desirable
  • Recent Fast Jet experience.
