Job summary

DCS Recruitment seeks an experienced Project Manager for aviation and advanced engineering projects in Bournemouth. You will own multiple technical initiatives, coordinating engineers, suppliers, and customers to deliver on time and within budget.

The role emphasizes governance, planning, and cross‑functional collaboration in a regulated environment, with exposure to UAS contexts and cutting‑edge aerospace technologies.

Qualifications

• Proven experience delivering complex technical or engineering projects.
• Experience within aviation, aerospace, defence, engineering or advanced technology sectors.
• Strong project planning and scheduling experience.
• Experience managing multiple projects or work packages simultaneously.
• Budgets, risks, issues and change control experience.
• Experience with external suppliers and supply chain activities.
• Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
• Ability to lead multidisciplinary project teams and influence stakeholders.
• Strong organisational and problem solving skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Project and Microsoft 365 applications.
• Experience producing project reporting and performance updates.

Responsibilities

• Lead delivery of multiple technical projects ensuring scope, cost, schedule and quality objectives.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules and milestones.
• Manage budgets, costs and financial reporting throughout the lifecycle.
• Coordinate cross-functional engineering and technical teams to meet objectives.
• Build relationships with customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders.
• Manage supplier performance and procurement activities for project delivery.
• Identify, assess and mitigate risks and dependencies.
• Maintain governance through change control processes.
• Monitor performance with KPIs and regular progress reviews.
• Present updates to senior leadership and stakeholders.
