Full Time Security Officer - Belfast City Airport

Hourly rate - Starting at £12.72 rising to £13.25 once full training is completed

Responsibilities
  • To control access to restricted areas of the airport
  • To carry out staff ID and boarding card checks
  • To prepare passengers, staff, and crew for security screening
  • To conduct physical searches of all persons and articles requiring access to restricted areas
  • To carry out x-ray duties of all items entering the restricted area
  • To respond to any onsite incident, following the agreed procedures
  • To carry out escort duties when required
  • To perform patrols in assigned areas
  • To be compliant with relevant Civil Aviation Authority regulations and understand Belfast City Airport local procedures and working practices
  • To undertake required Security Training as specified by the company, in compliance with CAA standards
  • To achieve an adequate level of competence which is measured through performance assessment
  • To support a culture of continuous improvement by fully engaging in the success of the business and own self-development
Essential information
  • Full training provided, must be available to complete 8 - 12 full days in training (excludes weekend)
  • All employees will be able to work from 04:30 - 13:30 and 13:30 - 22:00 on a shift rotation
  • Must have a 5-year checkable history
  • Must pass a colour vision test
  • Must have been in the UK for 3 years
