Job summary

Arden White Limited is seeking an experienced Safety Manager to oversee and develop an integrated Safety Management System (SMS) across AOC, CAMO and 145 operations. You will report to the Accountable Managers and lead safety performance, investigations, regulatory compliance and a positive safety culture.

Responsibilities include managing SMS, identifying hazards, monitoring performance, leading FDM programmes, and liaising with UK CAA/EASA/ICAO.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' relevant experience, including at least 2 years within aviation.
• Strong knowledge of ICAO, UK CAA and EASA safety regulations.
• Experience managing Safety Management Systems and risk processes.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and develop the Safety Management System (SMS).
• Lead hazard identification, risk assessment and mitigation activities.
• Monitor safety performance and report to senior leadership.
• Oversee investigations of occurrences, incidents and accidents.
• Manage Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) programmes.
• Ensure compliance with UK CAA, EASA and ICAO safety requirements.
• Maintain safety documentation, manuals and reporting processes.
• Deliver safety training and promote a strong safety culture.
• Liaise with regulators and external safety organisations.
• Provide operational safety guidance across the business.

Job description

We're recruiting for an experienced Safety Manager to oversee and develop an integrated Safety Management System (SMS) across AOC, Part CAMO and Part 145 operations. Reporting directly to the Accountable Managers, you'll lead safety performance, risk management, investigations, regulatory compliance and the promotion of a positive safety culture throughout the organisation.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage and develop the Safety Management System (SMS)
• Lead hazard identification, risk assessment and mitigation activities
• Monitor safety performance and report to senior leadership
• Oversee occurrence, incident and accident investigations
• Manage Flight Data Monitoring (FDM) programmes
• Ensure compliance with UK CAA, EASA and ICAO safety requirements
• Maintain safety documentation, manuals and reporting processes
• Deliver safety training and promote a strong safety culture
• Liaise with regulators and external safety organisations
• Provide operational safety guidance across the business

About You

• Minimum 5 years' relevant experience, including at least 2 years within aviation
• Strong knowledge of ICAO, UK CAA and EASA safety regulations
• Experience managing Safety Management Systems and risk processes
• Understanding of safety investigations and human factors
• Strong communication, leadership and analytical skills

Desirable:

• Form 4 Nominated Person approval
• Knowledge of ORO.GEN.200, CAMO.A.200 and 145.A.200
• Aeronautical or Aerospace Engineering background
• FDM experience
• Knowledge of CentrikPackage
