The role

As an Aviation Project Engineer, you’ll have a role that’s out of the ordinary. You’ll be at the heart of delivering approved aircraft modifications and repairs. This is a dynamic and rewarding opportunity to coordinate technical, regulatory, and embodiment activities across Part 21 (Design and Production), Part M/CAMO (Continuing Airworthiness), and Part 145 (Maintenance) environments.

Day-to-day you’ll be:

  • Leading modification projects by defining scope, deliverables, schedules, and budgets
  • Coordinating regulatory and technical activities with DOA, POA, and CAMO teams
  • Planning and supporting maintenance embodiment and defect rectification
  • Managing safety assessments and configuration control documentation
  • Acting as the technical liaison for OEMs, vendors, and aviation authorities

This role is full time, 40 hours per week and is based on site at Gloucestershire Airport.

Essential experience of the Aviation Project Engineer
  • Significant experience in aircraft maintenance or modification projects within Part 21J/G, Part M/CAMO or Part 145 organisations
  • Strong working knowledge of EASA and/or UK CAA regulations (Part 21, Part M, Part 145, CS-27/29)
  • Proven experience delivering STCs or major avionics/cabin/mission upgrades
  • Skilled in project scheduling tools (MS Project or Primavera) and configuration/document control systems
Qualifications for the Aviation Project Engineer
  • Degree (BEng/BSc) in Aerospace, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent practical experience

The successful candidate must be able to achieve and maintain Standard (BPSS) security clearance for this role.
