Job summary

SYOS Aerospace in Fareham is recruiting experienced Aviation Mechanical Technicians to join our growing team on the SA60 programme. You’ll build, test and deploy next-generation uncrewed aircraft, collaborating with engineering and production to turn drawings into real hardware.

You’ll work hands-on with mechanical assembly, fit-out, testing and troubleshooting, reading engineering drawings and ensuring high quality, safety and workmanship in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in aviation, aerospace, defence, automotive, marine or another regulated engineering environment.

Responsibilities

• Mechanical assembly, fit-out and integration.
• Installing components to drawings, specifications and work instructions.
• Aircraft build, modification, inspection and rectification.
• Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documentation.
• Troubleshooting mechanical issues during build and testing.
• Supporting ground testing and aircraft preparation.
• Maintaining high standards of quality, safety and workmanship.
• Working collaboratively across mechanical, electrical, avionics and engineering teams.
