Job summary

Investec in London seeks a talented aviation finance professional to join the Aviation Finance desk. You will support origination and execution of debt and equity transactions, including investments through managed funds and balance-sheet lending, combining financial analysis, modelling, and market research.

You will build and operate forecast models, conduct cash flow and valuation analyses, draft credit papers and term sheets, and develop compelling client materials.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree or higher in aviation, finance, CS, maths, engineering or a numerical discipline.
• Strong financial modelling capability, including advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Sound understanding of core accounting and corporate finance concepts.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency in PowerPoint, Word and Excel, with relevant analytical tools and databases.
• Willingness to develop regulatory knowledge as required for the role.

Responsibilities

• Support origination and execution of debt and equity transactions.
• Create and operate financial and aircraft maintenance forecast models.
• Undertake financial statement, cash flow and valuation analyses.
• Draft credit papers, presentations and sales materials for internal and external audiences.
• Prepare transaction documentation, including letters of intent and term sheets.
• Conduct market, airline and aircraft-specific research and analysis.
• Develop pitch materials to support new business opportunities.
• Work closely with Credit, Legal, middle-office and back-office colleagues, as well as external advisers.
