Job summary

Roundhouse Recruitment Ltd is seeking an AV Installation Engineer to join a fast-growing smart home automation company in London. You will install and test AV equipment, contribute to high-end residential projects, and receive specialist training in AV programming.

You will develop skills in Crestron, Control4, and Lutron while progressing toward senior and leadership roles as the company expands. A competitive salary (£35k-£45k) with paid travel and company benefits is offered.

Qualifications

Are you an AV Installation Engineer or similar looking to join a fast-growing Smart Home Automation company offering specialist training in AV programming and opportunities to progress into Senior and Management positions?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a growing SME specialising in high-end residential AV installations, including luxury home cinemas, smart home automation and lighting control systems. You'll be responsible for installing, connecting and testing specialist AV equipment across prestigious residential properties.

You'll receive hands‑on training from experienced engineers, with opportunities to develop programming skills across specialist home automation systems such as Crestron, Control4 and Lutron. As the company expands, you'll be in an excellent position to develop into a more technically advanced engineer and progress into senior and leadership roles.

The Role

• Install and second-fix AV equipment, smart home systems and lighting controls across high-end residential properties.


• Carry out cable termination, equipment connections, testing and fault‑finding.


• Work from technical drawings and schematics to deliver high‑quality installations.


• Receive training in AV programming and specialist home automation technologies.

About You

• Hands‑on installation experience within Commercial AV, Residential AV, Security, CCTV, Access Control, Lighting Controls or similar.


• Understanding of cabling, cable termination, second‑fix installation and testing.


• Comfortable working on‑site, both independently and alongside other engineers.


• Motivated to learn AV programming and develop into a more technically advanced engineer.


• Full UK driving licence, or actively working towards obtaining one.

Package & Progression

• £30,000 - £50,000 depending on experience.


• Specialist training in AV programming and smart home automation systems.


• Opportunities to progress into Senior Engineer and leadership positions as the company expands.
