Job description

Our client is looking for an experienced AV Manager to lead their engineering, technical support, and stock functions. This is a key role in ensuring the company delivers reliable, high-quality AV services to support the business requirements. If you’re a people-focused leader with strong operational insight and a grounding in AV engineering, this role offers the chance to shape an ambitious, service-driven operation.

The Role

As AV Engineering Manager, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of AV operations, ensuring excellent service delivery and driving continuous improvement across multiple teams. You’ll bring together people, processes, and priorities, champion operational standards, and support the company’s wider strategic goals. You would need to be located in South Yorkshire and expect to be in the office at least 4 out of 5 days of the week.

Responsibilities
  • Leading, coaching, and developing engineering and support teams
  • Ensuring teams are resourced, skilled, and engaged
  • Managing stock, procurement, supplier relationships, and cost control
  • Embedding strong processes, documentation, and ISO 9001 quality standards
  • Implementing effective asset management and lifecycle tracking
  • Overseeing risk assessments, health & safety compliance, and incident investigations
  • Managing tools, vehicles, and facilities
  • Supporting budgeting, purchase approvals, and expense oversight
  • Producing management reports and maintaining operational dashboards
  • Handling customer requests and escalations promptly and professionally
