Textron, Inc. is seeking an Autonomy Systems Engineer in Ipswich to develop and integrate the onboard autonomy stack for Jacobsen vehicles. You will lead vehicle-level integration across perception, localisation, planning and control, and design safety controllers for production-ready platforms.
The role requires a Bachelor's degree and at least two years' experience in autonomous or robotic systems integration, with hands-on testing and sensor integration using CAN interfaces.
As an Autonomy Systems Engineer, you will develop and integrate the onboard autonomy stack for Jacobsen vehicles. This role focuses on vehicle-level system integration, safety-critical architecture, and embedded implementation, supporting the transition from prototype systems to production-ready autonomous platforms.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics/Mechatronics or similar.
A minimum of two years' experience in autonomous or robotic systems integration, or similar roles.
