Job summary

A leading robotics research firm in Greater London is seeking to hire an individual to lead algorithm and architecture development for robots. This role encompasses training large-scale models that help robots interpret and interact with the physical world. Responsibilities include deploying models into real-time robots, supporting human-robot interaction, and ensuring model generalization and safety. Ideal candidates will have experience in robotics and AI with a strong focus on cross-modal systems.

Responsibilities

  • Train and adapt large-scale VLA & VLMs predicting multi-modal futures.
  • Develop systems for cross-modal grounding for robot interpretation.
  • Enable temporal reasoning and goal-directed behavior in robots.
  • Support human-robot interaction through intention recognition.
  • Deploy models into real-time humanoid and mobile robots.
  • Evaluate pipelines for generalization and safety.
  • Collaborate with teams for sim-to-real transfer.
  • Publish and open source datasets and models.
