Job summary

D R Newitt Recruitment is partnering with a UK food manufacturing supplier to recruit a Field Sales Manager. The role is field-based in the East Midlands with home-based options, offering a competitive salary, performance bonus and a company vehicle.

You will identify and secure new business, build relationships with manufacturers and key stakeholders, and promote a portfolio of ingredients, equipment and manufacturing solutions. Strong commercial acumen and travel flexibility are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in B2B field sales or business development.
• Exposure to food manufacturing, processing or related industry.
• A proven track record of acquiring new business and building relationships.
• Strong commercial awareness, communication and negotiation skills.
• Proactive, organized and tenacious approach to sales; willing to travel.

Responsibilities

• Proactively identify, target and secure new business opportunities across the food manufacturing sector.
• Build strong, long-term relationships with manufacturers and key stakeholders.
• Promote a diverse portfolio of specialist ingredients, equipment and manufacturing solutions.
• Work directly with customers on manufacturing sites to understand processes and requirements.
• Support product demonstrations, manufacturing trials and customer development projects.
• Take ownership of your sales territory, develop a structured pipeline and convert opportunities into profitable business.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver tailored solutions and exceptional customer service.
