Job summary

Qualifications

• Level 1 registered Nurse or registered paramedic.
• Minor Injuries qualification.
• Non-medical prescriber qualification or willing to complete within the first year in post.
• Illness qualification educated to degree level or demonstrable equivalent experience.
• Recognised teaching / assessing course.

Responsibilities

• Take a complete history and perform clinical examination to diagnose and implement treatment.
• Evaluate the effectiveness of the treatment and discharge patients or refer to a specialist as necessary.
• Promote health and well-being and provide health advice and education; act as a mentor to staff and students.
• Keep up to date with skills and competencies; monitor and update local policies and procedures; participate in clinical research.
