Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Locum Nurse Practitioner to work at a GP practice in Dunoon. The role focuses on autonomously managing minor illness, urgent on-the-day demand and keeping daily clinical activity running smoothly.

You will run NP-led clinics, provide triage support and help maintain continuity of care in a team with strong clinical oversight. Applicants should be an experienced Nurse Practitioner with primary/urgent care background and DBS clearance.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant experience.
• Independent prescribing qualification desirable.
• Experience in primary care or urgent care settings is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Run autonomous NP-led minor illness and urgent care clinics.
• Provide telephone triage and patient streaming.
• Assess, diagnose and manage undifferentiated presentations.
• Prescribe independently where qualified.
• Review investigations and action follow-up tasks.
• Maintain accurate documentation within the EMR.
• Support GPs and Practice Nurses with core duties.
