Job summary

Redline Group Ltd is seeking a Contract Robotics Controls Engineer for an initial 3-month on-site assignment in Cambridgeshire. You will join a skilled robotics team, focusing on developing and optimising an autonomous platform with C++, ROS and motion-control expertise.

The role requires hands-on experience with stepper motors, motor controllers, trajectory planning and fault-tracking to improve reliability and performance of the system.

Qualifications

• Strong C++ development experience.
• ROS/ROS2 experience.
• Hands-on stepper motor and motor controller experience.
• Robotics controls / motion control experience.

Responsibilities

• Tune and optimise motor performance.
• Troubleshoot motion-control issues to improve reliability.
• Improve smoothness and overall performance of the robotic system.
• Understand existing system quickly and provide effective solutions.
