Job summary

University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is recruiting for a Bank Advanced Practitioner Sonographer at Band 7 in Obstetric Ultrasound. You will join an established team and provide autonomous obstetric scanning and reporting with a flexible approach to shifts.

The post supports the Obstetric ultrasound department which serves Royal Stoke site and Stafford County Hospital, providing routine antenatal screening and specialist clinics within a busy 6-day service.

Qualifications

• Must be able to independently scan and report obstetric ultrasound examinations.
• Evidence of ongoing CPD and professional development.
• Full driving licence and access to car for trust work sites.

Responsibilities

• Autonomous practitioner performing and reporting obstetric ultrasound examinations.
• Dating scans, nuchal translucency, fetal growth and anomaly scans as required.
• Interpret findings, produce clinical reports and escalate significant findings as per care pathways.
• Contribute to high quality, safe, patient-centred obstetric ultrasound service and national screening standards.
