Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking a Nurse Practitioner to work in a GP practice in Ruislip. The role centers on autonomously delivering NP-led clinics, managing minor illness presentations, and supporting urgent on-the-day demand.

You will provide triage, assess and manage patients, and document clearly within the clinical system. Independent prescribing is desirable, Enhanced DBS is required, and sessions may be regular or ad-hoc.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant experience.
• Independent Prescribing qualification desirable.
• Background in primary care, urgent care or community nursing.
• Confident autonomous clinician with strong clinical judgement.
• Familiarity with EMIS, SystmOne or Vision.
• Enhanced DBS.

Responsibilities

• Run minor illness and urgent care NP clinics.
• Telephone triage and patient streaming.
• Assess, diagnose and manage undifferentiated presentations.
• Prescribe independently where qualified.
• Review investigations and action follow-up tasks.
• Ensure accurate documentation within the clinical system.
• Support GPs and Practice Nurses with core clinical duties.
