Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner for flexible sessional work in Kennoway. The post involves autonomous minor illness assessments within GP clinics and routine primary care duties.

You will support local primary care teams by managing acute presentations, carrying out routine assessments and contributing to day-to-day clinical operations. Flexible shifts with ad-hoc or ongoing bookings.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse Practitioner with relevant experience.
• Independent Prescribing qualification desirable.
• Strong minor illness and clinical assessment skills.
• Experience with EMIS Web or SystmOne is preferred.
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Running autonomous NP-led clinics within primary care settings.
• Managing minor illness and undifferentiated presentations.
• Conducting face-to-face and telephone triage.
• Prescribing safely within scope of practice (if qualified).
• Completing clinical follow-up actions including results and medication queries.
• Maintaining accurate digital clinical documentation.
