Job summary

University Hospitals Dorset NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting a Haematology/Oncology Homecare CNS Band 6 to deliver compassionate, patient-centered care in the community. The post requires NMC registration and UKONS SACT competence, with the role based initially at Bournemouth Hospital and cross-site working across UHD.

Qualifications

• Current NMC registration
• Completion of UKONS SACT passport and evidence of competence
• Psychological skills
• Advanced communication skills
• Postgraduate diploma or MSc in relevant field

Responsibilities

• Provide a specialist nursing service within the community for haematology and oncology care and management of ongoing treatment, including delivery of systemic anti-cancer therapies (SACT).
• Be an autonomous practitioner with the freedom to influence patient care under the guidance of the Band 7.
• Promote best practice and deliver coordinated quality cancer care to patients and their families.
• Be available to work across all UHD locations to meet service demands.
