Job summary

The Osmaston Surgery is seeking a Salaried GP to join our urban practice. We offer visa sponsorship, a supportive team, and strong career development opportunities to suit both newly qualified and experienced clinicians.

Qualifications

• GMC registration and GP accreditation are mandatory.
• Eligibility for UK work and inclusion on the Performers List is required.
• Evidence of current GMC appraisal and revalidation should be available.
• MRCGP or equivalent qualifications are preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clinical care: Diagnose and treat a wide range of health needs with high-quality standards.
• Consultations: Conduct surgery consultations and address patient queries.
• On call: Rotation as duty doctor as part of a team.
• Home visits: Perform home visits when appropriate.
• Prescribing: Prescribe in line with policies and NHS formulary.
• Long-term conditions: Manage chronic diseases with care plans.
• Referrals: Make timely referrals to specialists.
• Health promotion: Provide counselling and health education.
• Administrative duties: Maintain records and process referrals, lab reports, and prescriptions.
• Organisational responsibilities: Ensure compliance with GMC guidelines and engage in audits and development.

Education

Membership of the Royal College of General Practitioners or equivalent in training if approved by the Royal College of General Practitioners

Certificate of MRCGP

Registered GP with the GMC included on the GP Register

Included on GP Performers List

Possesses the right to work in the UK

Certificate of satisfactory immune status re Hepatitis B and other relevant viruses

Current General Practice experience with up to date GMC appraisal and revalidation
