Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an autonomous Advanced Nurse Practitioner (ANP) to work at a GP practice in Porth, Wales. The role offers flexible, sessional work with support from an established multidisciplinary team, enabling independent assessment and management of a range of presentations.

You will deliver evidence-based care, conduct minor illness clinics, and contribute to high-quality outcomes within a well-organised primary care setting.

Qualifications

• Advanced Nurse Practitioner qualification (Level 7) and V300 prescribing required.
• Experience in primary/urgent care or walk-in settings.
• Ability to work autonomously and safely in a GP environment.
• Familiarity with common primary care systems (EMIS / SystmOne / Vision).
• Enhanced DBS clearance.

Responsibilities

• Running minor illness and acute assessment clinics.
• Completing long-term condition reviews where required.
• Telephone triage and clinical decision-making.
• Independent prescribing and medication reviews.
• Ordering and interpreting investigations.
• Clear, accurate clinical documentation.
• Working collaboratively with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs.
