Job summary

Mountain Healthcare is seeking Registered Nurses and Paramedics to join our forensic custody healthcare team. In this role you will deliver high quality clinical care to detainees in custody settings, assess needs, treat conditions, and document care within legal and medical records.

You will work autonomously on diverse shifts at Barrow/Kendal Custody Suite, with accredited training and a structured development programme.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse with current NMC registration or Paramedic with HCPC registration.
• Full UK driving licence with fewer than six penalty points.
• Ability to complete enhanced DBS clearance and police vetting.
• Full right to work in the UK with minimum three years’ UK residency.

Responsibilities

• Conduct clinical and capacity assessments.
• Manage acute healthcare needs and emergencies.
• Support mental health, safeguarding and substance misuse needs.
• Collect and document forensic evidence and maintain records.
• Collaborate with police, NHS and partner agencies.
