Job summary

The Sandwell and West Birmingham NHS Trust is recruiting a full-time Specialist Screening Practitioner (SSP) to join the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme. You will work across three hospital sites: Sandwell Health Campus, Birmingham Treatment Centre, and Queen Elizabeth Hospital, guiding patients through the screening pathway and ensuring high-quality, patient-centered care.

Applicants must be a registered general nurse with appropriate knowledge and experience.

Qualifications

• Registered general nurse with appropriate knowledge and experience.
• Current UK professional registration is required.
• Willingness to travel between sites and a full driving licence would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Take overall responsibility for patients within the bowel screening programme ensuring appropriate assessment and management plans.
• Work autonomously as an SSP within the Bowel Cancer Screening Programme while collaborating with the MDT and staff at other sites.
