Job summary

Locum Ready is seeking an experienced Locum Advanced Nurse Practitioner to work in a GP practice in Whitby. This autonomous clinician will assess, diagnose and manage a range of presentations with support from a multidisciplinary team, in a well‑organised primary care setting.

The role offers flexible sessions (up to 4 days per week), morning and afternoon clinics, independence in prescribing, and clear, efficient clinical workflows to keep each session efficient.

Qualifications

• Autonomous clinician with ability to work unsupervised.
• Experience in primary care or urgent care settings.
• V300 Independent Prescribing qualification.
• Familiar with common primary care IT systems (EMIS/SystmOne/Vision).

Responsibilities

• Run minor illness and acute assessment clinics.
• Conduct long-term condition reviews where required.
• Telephone triage and clinical decision-making.
• Independent prescribing and medication reviews.
• Order and interpret investigations.
• Maintain clear, accurate clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with GPs, Practice Nurses and HCAs.
