Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is seeking an Advanced Practitioner who will work autonomously across primary, community and acute services, including out-of-hours periods. The role involves clinical decision making for the population, assessment and treatment across settings, with support from medical staff and the MDT.

The post demands a high level of clinical expertise, the ability to lead complex cases, and adherence to professional codes of conduct.

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse / AHP / Pharmacist with valid NMC/HCPC/GPHC Registration.
• Educated to/working towards/operating at Masters Level.
• Post Graduate Diploma in Advanced clinical practice and expertise within speciality / area of practice that demonstrates the required breadth of knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Autonomously assesses, diagnose and treats individuals with a range of acute, non-acute and chronic conditions across lifespan.
• Attend statutory training sessions.
• Attend relevant study days/lectures to update knowledge.
• Practice at all times within the Professional Codes of Conduct.
• Manage own time to meet clinical, educational and administrative demands.
