Job summary

Sherwood Forest Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Clinical Nurse Specialist – Advanced Breast Practice to join its Breast Services team. The post is senior and autonomous, requiring management of patients across diagnostic, treatment and follow-up pathways alongside a multidisciplinary team.

The role demands substantial breast clinical experience, advanced assessment and decision-making, and the ability to lead clinical care from appointment.

Qualifications

Registered nurse with NMC Level 1 status.
Breast clinic experience and advanced practice capability.
Ability to perform advanced assessments and investigations.
Experience in autonomous clinical decision-making.
Experience with nurse-led and community-based clinics.
Willingness to obtain non-medical prescribing if needed.

Responsibilities

Undertake advanced assessment and diagnostic reasoning.
Lead clinical decision-making and treatment plans.
Manage patient care across breast diagnostic, treatment and follow-up pathways.
Collaborate with multidisciplinary breast team.
