Job summary

Tata Technologies Ltd. seeks a Project Engineer to design, integrate and validate USB, socket and wireless charging interfaces for in-vehicle power systems. You will work across vehicle programs with interior, infotainment and electrical teams to deliver robust charging and power solutions.

Responsibilities include defining requirements, coordinating with suppliers, and performing end-to-end validation and testing to meet OEM standards and customer expectations.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Strong understanding of USB technologies (USB 2.0/3.x, USB-C, USB Power Delivery).
• Knowledge of automotive power distribution systems (12V, 48V).
• Experience with wireless charging technologies (Qi).
• Familiarity with automotive electrical integration, wiring harnesses and connectors.
• Ability to interpret electrical schematics and system diagrams.
• Experience with automotive development processes (DFMEA, DVP&R, requirements management).
• Understanding of EMC/EMI in automotive electronics.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of USB charging/data ports, power sockets and wireless charging modules for vehicle interiors.
• Define system requirements, interface specs and performance targets for power delivery and connectivity interfaces.
• Manage integration of charging interfaces within vehicle electrical architecture and infotainment systems.
• Coordinate with suppliers to develop hardware solutions and ensure OEM standards compliance.
• Perform system-level validation and testing including electrical, thermal, EMC/ EMI and durability tests.
• Ensure compliance with USB Power Delivery, Qi standards and vehicle packaging requirements.
• Provide technical guidance during prototype builds, vehicle testing and production launch.
