Job summary

E-PPL Limited in Malvern is seeking a Paint Prep Technician to join our hands-on team. You will prepare vehicle surfaces, repair, sand and mask to deliver OEM-grade finishes on components and full vehicles.

The role requires automotive bodywork experience, meticulous attention to detail, and ability to meet tight production schedules. Overtime is available, onsite parking, and mileage allowances support a practical, factory-floor environment.

Qualifications

• Proven Expertise: solid experience in automotive bodywork, sanding, and surface preparation; plastic/fiberglass repair desirable.
• Technical Proficiency: skilled with hand and power tools and primers, fillers, and sealants.
• Quality Focus: attention to detail and precision for OEM-level quality.
• Work Ethic: able to meet demanding production schedules.

Responsibilities

• Surface Preparation & Repair: meticulously inspect, clean, repair, sand, fill, and smooth all designated vehicle surfaces (including plastic and fiberglass) to ensure a flawless substrate for painting.
• Finishing & Quality Control: apply primer and masking, and perform rigorous quality checks on all prepped areas to meet E-PPL and client quality standards before releasing the part for paint.
• Maintenance & Safety: maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area, handle materials correctly, and follow safety and hazardous waste protocols.
• Collaboration: work effectively with team members and site supervisors to maintain a smooth, efficient workflow and meet project deadlines.
