Job summary

Path Recruitment seeks an Automotive Engineer near Nottingham to service, diagnose and repair cars, vans and light commercial vehicles to high standards. You will follow manufacturer procedures, document work and deliver excellent customer service.

The role offers a salary up to £41,000 plus overtime, a company van, training and development programmes, and generous holiday allowance including your birthday off and BH. Monday to Friday, with a bonus scheme and tool allowance.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as car/van/fleet technician.
• NVQ/City & Guilds/IMI or equivalent in vehicle maintenance.
• Full UK driving licence is required.

Responsibilities

• Carry out servicing, diagnostics and electrical maintenance repairs to high standards on cars, vans and LCVs.
• Adhere to manufacturer procedures and maintain high attention to detail.
• Complete compliance paperwork accurately and work to company standards.
• Deliver first-class customer service to customers.

The Automotive Engineer Role:

• You will be carrying out servicing, diagnostic and electrical maintenance repairs to the highest possible standard on cars, vans, and light commercial vehicles (LCVs).
• Adhere to manufacturer procedures and processes and demonstrate high attention to detail at all time.
• You will be required to complete all compliance paperwork accurately and work to the company's standards.
• Deliver first‑class customer service to customers

To be successful as an Automotive Engineer:

• You will have previous experience working as a Car Technician, Van Technician, Mobile Vehicle Technician, Vehicle Mechanic, Fleet Technician, Fleet Mechanic, Van Mechanic, Van Technician, Service Technician, Qualified Technician, Senior Technician, LCV Technician, LCV Mechanic, Workshop Engineer, Automotive Technician, Automotive Engineer, Workshop Technician, Mobile Plant Engineer, Plant Engineer, Plant Fitter, Field Service Engineer, Mobile Engineer, Construction Plant Engineer or related role.
• You will ideally hold an NVQ, City and Guilds or IMI Qualification or equivalent in LCV Vehicle repair and maintenance/vehicle maintenance/ electrical maintenance/ plant maintenance/ construction plant and repair or similar.
• You must hold a full UK driving licence
