General Motors in the UK is seeking a Digital Sculptor to join its design studio, blending art with advanced digital tooling to shape vehicle surfaces. You will develop exterior and interior models using Alias and Nurbs workflows, collaborate with Exterior and Interior Design Managers, and drive digital assets to meet program timelines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Automotive Design/Transport Design/3D/Animation or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of digital modelling in automotive OEM or large consultancy.
• Experience creating both exterior and interior vehicle models.
• Strong organisational and communication skills.
• Ability to translate design input into 3D models and meet quality targets.

Responsabilités

• Develop surfaces for physical or digital models throughout the GM Design process.
• Support studio personnel in solving engineering and design challenges.
• Support surface releases that meet Design approval and data release requirements.
• Understand program timelines and related model quality requirements.
• Adhere to GM Global Design processes and best practices.
• Mentor others to achieve modeling standards and technical ability.
• Assess surface quality and ensure compliance with specs.
• Follow data management and communication processes (TeamCenter, SharePoint, etc.).
• Anticipate customer needs and support business decisions accordingly.
