Job summary

Cardiff and Vale College invites applications for a Body & Paint Instructor to join our Automotive Centre. You will plan, deliver and assess hands-on Body Repair and Vehicle Refinishing training, supporting learners to achieve qualifications while maintaining a safe workshop environment.

The role requires recent industry experience and a Level 3 automotive qualification; strong communication and organisational skills are essential, and FE or apprenticeship experience is advantageous.

Qualifications

• Recent industry experience in vehicle body repair, refinishing or accident repair.
• Level 3 qualification in a relevant automotive discipline.
• Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills are essential.
• Experience in further education, work-based learning or apprenticeship provision would be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality practical training and assessment across programmes.
• Monitor learner progress and maintain accurate records.
• Prepare and maintain specialist workshops and equipment and promote health and safety.
• Contribute to curriculum development and employer engagement activities.
