Job summary

Randstad Digital in Ipswich, UK, is seeking an Automation Tester with VoIP and SIP expertise for a 6-month contract with potential extension. You will build automated test frameworks for signaling and media handling, and diagnose issues using captures. Hybrid work: 3 days in the office, rest remote. Key focus on ensuring reliability of real-time voice/video systems.

Experience with Linux, Python, and CI/CD pipelines is essential to succeed in this role.

Qualifications

• Deep knowledge of SIP, RTP and SDP is required.
• Python and API automation experience is essential.
• Experience with packet captures and network analysis tools.
• Familiarity with VoIP tooling and Linux server administration is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose audio drops and call failures using packet captures.

Salary: £78,000 - 95,940 per year

Requirements:

• Deep knowledge of SIP, RTP, and SDP
• Python and API automation experience
• Experience with Wireshark, tcpdump, and PCAP analysis
• Experience with VoIP tools such as SIPp, Spectra, WinSIP, or StarTrinity
• Experience with Linux (RHEL/CentOS) and basic server administration
• Experience with Perimeta SBC, Metaswitch Rhino, or Dialogic Media Server is nice to have
• SSCA certification or knowledge of IN protocols (INAP/MAP) is nice to have
