Job description

Job Title: Automation Tester
Location: Remote (occasional on-site meetings when needed)
Day Rate: £350 - £375 Per Day (Inside IR35)
Start Date: Immediately

We’re supporting a major programme and are looking for two experienced Automation Testers with strong ERP and business process testing exposure. You’ll join a cross‑functional delivery team working across supply chain, finance, payroll, and CRM workstreams.

Job Responsibilities/Objectives

• Design, build, and maintain UI automation suites using Selenium or Playwright
• Develop and extend automation frameworks in C#, Java, Python, or similar
• Build and maintain BDD test frameworks (SpecFlow, Cucumber, Reqnroll)
• Conduct API testing using Postman, Playwright API, or equivalent libraries
• Validate structured data formats (XML, JSON, CSV)
• Use XPath/JSONPath for data validation
• Work within CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
• Manage tests and traceability using Jira, TestRail, Zephyr, or Azure Test Plans
• Participate in agile ceremonies and defect management processes

Required Skills/Experience

The ideal candidate will have the following:

• UI automation experience using Selenium or Playwright
• Proficiency in C#, Java, or Python for automation scripting
• Hands‑on experience designing, maintaining, and executing automation frameworks
• Strong background in ERP testing (D365, SAP, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, etc.)
• Solid understanding of agile delivery, defect management, and test traceability
• Experience in at least two of the following areas:
• Supply chain / order management
• Invoicing & payments
• Payroll
• CRM systems
