Job summary

Capgemini is seeking an Automation Test Engineer to join our Quality Engineering and Test Practice. You will craft automation strategies, build robust frameworks, and integrate tests into CI/CD pipelines.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams in a hybrid working setup, contributing to Agile/DevOps initiatives and mentoring a small team of testers. The role requires experience with at least two automation tools (Selenium/WebDriver, Playwright, or Tosca), proficiency in an OOP language

Qualifications

• Experience in creating effective automation test strategies and plans.
• Experience in test automation using at least two tools such as Selenium WebDriver, Playwright, or Tricentis Tosca.
• Experience creating or adapting automation frameworks.
• Familiarity with at least one OOP language (Java, Python, C#).
• Creating test scripts within a BDD environment using Cucumber, SpecFlow or similar.
• Ability to manage and maintain versions of test assets in GIT and other repositories.
• Experience working in Agile/DevOps environments.
• Hands-on experience with manual and automation testing types (Functional, API, web, mobility).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, Azure DevOps, or similar, integrating automation assets into the pipeline.
• Experience managing a small team of test engineers.
• ISTQB or equivalent certification in testing at foundation level or above.

Responsibilities

• Develop automation test strategies and plans aligned with business goals.
• Create and adapt automation frameworks to support multiple testing types.
• Collaborate with developers, testers, analysts, and architects across the organisation.
• Manage test assets and versioning in repositories (e.g., GIT).
• Contribute to Agile/DevOps practices and CI/CD integrations.
• Lead and mentor a small team of test engineers.
• Ensure effective use of automation in functional, API, web, and mobility testing.
