Job summary

Davies Group is seeking an Automation Test Analyst on a 3-month contract to own automation strategy and improve release confidence across its digital estate. The role focuses on building automated testing capabilities with Playwright within agile teams, driving quality throughout the lifecycle.

Ideal candidates will have strong JavaScript/TypeScript skills, experience with CI/CD pipelines, and a quality-first mindset. Immediate availability preferred for remote work within the UK market.

Qualifications

• Proven experience developing automated test frameworks and scripts using Playwright.
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, QA methodologies, and automation best practice.
• Experience testing web applications, APIs, and end-to-end customer journeys.

Responsibilities

• Work within Agile delivery teams to embed quality throughout the development lifecycle.
• Help build and enhance automated testing capabilities.
• Drive automation strategy and increase test coverage across key applications.
• Ensure releases are stable and ready for deployment.

Joining a major digital services organisation, you'll play a key role in building and enhancing automated testing capabilities using Playwright. Working within Agile delivery teams, you'll help embed quality throughout the development lifecycle, ensuring applications are stable, scalable, and ready for release.

• Proven experience developing automated test frameworks and scripts using Playwright
• Strong understanding of software testing principles, QA methodologies, and automation best practice
• Experience testing web applications, APIs, and end-to-end customer journeys
• Solid JavaScript and/or TypeScript knowledge
• Experience working within Agile delivery environments alongside developers and product teams
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and automated test execution within deployment workflows
• Strong analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills with a quality-first mindset
