Job summary

HighRes Biosolutions is seeking an Automation Support Engineer II to join our team in the UK, focusing on onsite robotics systems for customer accounts. You will diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve software and hardware issues, collaborating with cross-functional teams and acting as the primary customer contact.

The role requires travel for training, strong communication, and a proactive approach to delivering durable solutions that support scientific workflows. Daily field work with customers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field (Computer Science, Robotic Engineering or related)
• Proven experience delivering customer success and service
• 4+ years’ experience in lab automation, robotics, or software
• Proficiency in C# or Python, plus software troubleshooting abilities

Responsibilities

• Be the primary point of contact for onsite customer robotics systems
• Diagnose and resolve software and hardware issues with speed and accuracy
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive customer resolutions
• Manage customer sites, systems and upcoming deployments
• Meet targets for response time and quality to ensure customer satisfaction
• Assist with troubleshooting, upgrades, and device issues with Field Service Engineers
• Debug and deploy code for integrating laboratory automation devices
• Configure databases and interface with scheduling software
