Talentmark is recruiting an Automation QA Tester for a 12-month contract in the pharmaceutical sector. The role is hybrid, with 2-3 days per week in the Wrexham office and the rest remote.

The candidate will write automated tests with WebdriverIO, run tests on BrowserStack and devices, and help maintain the main regression suite. Applicants should have WebdriverIO/JavaScript testing experience, BrowserStack usage, and strong manual testing skills.

Qualifications

• Experience writing automated tests with WebdriverIO or similar JavaScript framework across web and mobile.
• Experience using BrowserStack or similar tool and testing on physical devices.
• Solid manual testing skills for web and mobile; able to distinguish real bugs from flaky tests.
• Experience in regulated industries such as pharma, medical devices, healthcare is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain automated tests using WebdriverIO (JavaScript).

Job description

Talentmark are recruiting for an Automation QA Tester to join a company in the pharmaceutical industry on a contract basis for 12 months. This role is hybrid, with 2-3 days per week in the Wrexham office, and the remaining days remote.

Company: Our client is one of the largest pharmaceutical companies in the world. They focus on finding answers for some of the world's most urgent medical needs.

Salary: 29.70 per hour - 39.60 per hour PAYE

Automation QA Tester Role Responsibilities:

• Write and maintain automated tests using WebdriverIO (JavaScript)
• Run web and mobile automated tests using BrowserStack and physical devices
• Build and maintain the main regression test suite
• Work with the test lead to decide what should be automated and what should stay manual
• Help with manual testing on web and mobile, especially around releases
• Work closely with the Wrexham development team and wider testing team, including colleagues overseas

Your Background:

• Experience writing automated tests with WebdriverIO or a similar JavaScript framework, across both web and mobile
• Experience using BrowserStack or a similar tool, and running tests on physical devices
• Solid manual testing skills - able to run manual tests on web and mobile
• Understanding of when to automate a test and when not to, plus strong debugging skills to tell a real bug from a flaky test
• Experience in a regulated industry such as pharma, medical devices, or healthcare (desirable)
