Job summary

An insurance technology company is seeking an Automation QA Engineer experienced in automation tools and strong programming skills. The role involves owning the automation framework, enhancing testing accuracy, and collaborating with teams. Knowledge of insurance applications is beneficial. This position offers a hybrid working model with office presence in London every Monday.

Qualifications

  • Hands-on experience in automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
  • Strong programming/scripting skills in C# or Java.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).
  • Exposure to API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured).
  • Experience in data-driven testing and validation.

We are recruiting for a Automation QA Engineer with Insurance experience to join one of our insurance clients on a 6-month contract

Hybrid- Every Monday in the London office

Responsibilities
  • Take complete ownership of automating applications within the existing automation framework.
  • Analyse applications and identify areas for automation, optimization, and continuous improvement.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing.
  • Enhance the current automation framework and suggest innovative approaches to improve performance, scalability, and maintainability.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Development, Business Analysts, Project Managers) to define automation requirements and ensure comprehensive test coverage.
  • Propose and implement strategies to improve automation speed, accuracy, and reliability.
  • Participate in new QA initiatives, including AI-driven testing, data validation automation, and continuous integration enhancements.
  • Contribute to establishing best practices, coding standards, and reusable components for automation.
  • Identify and mitigate risks in the automation lifecycle, ensuring consistent and reliable testing outcomes.
Experience
  • Hands-on experience in automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, JUnit, Cypress, Playwright, or similar.
  • Strong programming/scripting skills in C# or Java
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps).
  • Exposure to API testing tools (Postman, RestAssured, ).
  • Experience in data-driven testing and validation across complex systems or insurance applications.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, and QA best practices.
  • Experience in improving and maintaining automation frameworks to support scalable test execution.
  • Knowledge of the insurance domain (underwriting, claims, policy management) is an advantage
