A newly created role within a major UK organisation, focused on building an internal automation support function from the ground up. This is the first hire into the team, so you're laying the foundations : bringing support back in-house, setting the processes, tightening the governance, and creating a service model that the business can actually rely on. Early on you'll be hands‑on with the Power Platform and small‑scale development, but the long‑term trajectory is clear - move into leadership, own the standards, and run the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Build and lead a brand-new automation support team.
  • Design and implement the processes, governance, and documentation the business is currently missing.
  • Take ownership of the service transition from third‑party providers.
  • Deliver hands‑on work in the early phase, particularly within the Power Platform.
  • Oversee and manage ServiceNow as the central integration point for automation workflows.
  • Define what good service looks like and drive that standard across stakeholders.
  • Support, coach, and manage junior and contract resources as the team grows.
