Job Overview

As the Automation Installation Engineer, you will be responsible for installing, commissioning, and supporting automated systems, including conveyors, robotic cells, and crane systems. The role involves mechanical and electrical fault-finding, system integration, and ensuring installations meet safety and performance standards.

Qualifications
  • NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering
  • Proven experience in automation installation (conveyors, robotics, cranes)
  • Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding skills
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and wiring diagrams
  • Experience with PLCs (e.g. Siemens and Allen Bradley)
  • Familiarity with industrial safety standards and permit to work systems
  • Experience with robotic programming and integration (desirable)
  • Knowledge of crane systems and lifting equipment regulations
  • Certification in electrical safety (e.g. 18th Edition)
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours
  • Valid CSCS card or equivalent
