Program Details

This 48‑month apprenticeship combines practical, on‑the‑job training with recognised study. The first 12 months include a full‑time residential programme at a training facility or Amazon training centre. You will progress toward the Level 6 Control Technical Support Apprenticeship and, in later years, work toward a BSc in Controls and Automation Engineering and an HNC/D in Electrical/Controls Engineering. The role involves shift work covering days, nights and weekends to support Amazon’s 24/7 operation.

Qualifications and Requirements
  • Be 18 years or older before the start date (September 2026)
  • Have the right to live and work in England for the duration of the programme (through September 2030)
  • Have lived in the UK or EEA for the last 3 years and be a resident for the programme’s duration
  • Have at least five GCSEs graded C or above, including Maths and English
  • Have three A‑levels (or equivalent) at C grade or above in Mathematics, IT, Physics, or an engineering‑related subject; or a BTEC Level 3 engineering qualification of 180 credits including further mathematics
  • Do not already hold a similar or higher‑level qualification in engineering or maintenance
  • Possess a maintenance or engineering HNC/D qualification with a PLC, automation, electronics or electrical bias is preferred
