A leading engineering firm in Tees Valley is seeking a Senior Project Engineer specializing in Automation. The role involves delivering SCADA projects within the power sector, requiring extensive experience in low and high voltage systems. An ideal candidate will have knowledge of SCADA protocols and automation project delivery from design to commissioning. This is a hybrid role, offering £45 per hour for an initial 6-month contract starting in December.

Essential Skillset Required

• At least 8+ years experience in delivering SCADA and Automation projects
• Experience within the low voltage/high voltage electricity transmission and distribution industry
• Experienced in delivering automation projects from design through to commissioning.
• Knowledge of communication systems and SCADA protocols such as Modbus, IEC 61850 and DNP.
• Experienced in FAT and SAT
• Preparation of project documentation such as FAT, SAT, operations manuals and design specifications

Desirable

• Experience in configuration of Zenon HMI software
• Experience and knowledge of Smart Grid applications
• Knowledge of subatation protection schemes, relays and their operation.
