The Role

As an Automation Engineer, you'll take ownership of automation systems across the site, ensuring optimal performance, minimal downtime, and continuous improvement. You'll work alongside maintenance, engineering, and production teams to identify and implement automation solutions that drive productivity.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintain, troubleshoot, and optimise PLC and SCADA systems (Siemens, Allen Bradley, etc.)
  • Support the delivery of automation projects and upgrades
  • Analyse performance data and identify improvement opportunities
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to enhance overall equipment effectiveness (OEE)
  • Ensure all systems comply with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
About You
  • Proven experience in an Automation/Controls Engineering role within FMCG, food, or a similar fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Strong knowledge of PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, and industrial networking
  • Confident working independently and managing automation projects end-to-end
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
