Job summary

HP4 Recruitment Ltd is recruiting five experienced PLC/Automation Engineers to join a London-based automation team. You will work hands-on with PLC systems, testing, fault finding and commissioning on site, with Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms where possible.

The role focuses on testing, integration and commissioning of control systems, along with PLC/SCADA/HMI technologies, and requires on-site availability in London.

Job description

We are currently recruiting five experienced PLC / Automation Engineers to join an established automation team working on projects in London.

We are looking for hands-on engineers with experience in PLC systems, ideally with Rockwell / Allen-Bradley, who can support testing, fault finding and commissioning activities on site.

Key responsibilities

• Working with PLC and automation control systems.
• Carrying out testing, fault finding and commissioning.
• Supporting the integration and commissioning of control systems.
• Working with PLC, SCADA and HMI technologies.
• Identifying and resolving technical issues during testing and commissioning.
• Supporting project delivery and ensuring systems operate correctly.

Essential experience

• Previous experience as a PLC Engineer, Automation Engineer or Controls Engineer.
• Experience with Rockwell / Allen-Bradley systems.
• Strong PLC and control systems knowledge.
• Hands-on testing, fault-finding and commissioning experience.
• Ability to work on site in London.

Desirable experience

• Data centre / data centre project experience.
• SCADA and HMI systems.
• Experience with Studio 5000, ControlLogix or CompactLogix.

Engineers with relevant PLC and SCADA experience using alternative platforms will also be considered, particularly where they have strong commissioning experience.
