Job summary

Richard James Recruitment Specialists Ltd in London is seeking a Senior Market Risk Analyst to join a global energy trading organisation. You will focus on daily analysis of Structured Products trading activity, reporting on positions and P&L, and providing support across Gas, Crude Oil Derivatives, LNG, and Power & Emissions.

The role emphasises automation, building tools for front-office trading with ML/AI techniques, and contributing to Market Risk projects with strong interaction with senior

Qualifications

• University degree in a numerate discipline such as economics, mathematics, science, finance or engineering.
• Experience in a market risk role within commodity trading or financial institutions.
• Knowledge of risk metrics (VaR, stress testing, scenario analysis) and derivatives.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review daily P&L and risk reports; monitor limits and resolve issues with relevant teams.
• Support front office in approvals for new and non-standard products.
• Identify significant risks and communicate to senior management.
• Provide information for bi-weekly Risk Committee meetings.
• Review changes to Endur ETRM and ensure controls and audits are satisfied.
• Contribute to enhancement of reporting and development of systems.
